Rarely available, and a rapidly appreciating piece of
Italian automotive history.
We were delighted to aquire this wonderful car, and
close inspection never fails to delight.
The car was suppied new by Wallis and son, the
Cambridge Lancia main dealer, in Oct 1977. She
was used on a regular basis untill the early nineties,
and by then, like most Italian cars of the era, had
began to deteriorate.
From around 1992 through 1995, the car was the
subject of a complete nut and bolt professional
estoration. She was stripped to a bare shell, and
the photographic history file shows a complete
and extensive coachwork restoration. This was
carried out by Yorkshire Panel Beating, and came
with a warranty on all work completed. Looking at
the photographs and invoices, it appears that
nothing was left to chance during the rebuild.
At the same time, the engine was completely
rebuilt by Richmond Auto Services, compete
with crank grind, rebore, refurbished cylinder head, etc, etc.
Again, the history file bears evidence to much more detailed works, and the end result is probably a car that is better than when it left the factory. Infact as recently as 2008, the car was uprated with a brand new pair of Webber downdraft carbs and manifold. Not only does she look good, she sounds glorious.
Again, on ramp viewing and test drives are welcome and recommended, but please ring prior to travelling as we'd hate to disappoint.
