PS 300R Lightweight
The PS Retro Lightweight 'R' combines iconic styling with an exhilarating modern driving experience.
Based on the 964 series, the Lightweight 'R' is a high performance modern sports car featuring coil spring suspension with cast aluminium wishbones all round, power steering and ABS brakes as standard.
With a bespoke lightweight interior clad in period style leather and corduroy, full harness seat belts, body hugging sports seats, a 3 spoke leather sports steering wheel and PS sports dials, the Lightweight 'R' feels very special even before you have turned the key.
An aluminium bonnet, aluminium mirrors, thinner rear screen, lightweight bumpers, boot lid and interior all keep the vital kerb weight down to just 1220kgs.
This left-hand-drive car was the very first Retro Lightweight to be built and is a very well known 911, having been featured in numerous press articles.
It is fitted with a hand built high performance 3.8 litre 300bhp engine mated with an RS clutch and flywheel and breathing through a twin-exit bespoke exhaust system. The power delivery is muscular and ferocious and the engine revs freely and emits a brilliantly aggressive bark.
It rides on PS Sports suspension and 3 piece 17" billet wheels with uprated drilled brake discs and performance pads. This allows the car a supple yet controlled ride, exceptional body control and monstrous stopping power.
Inside are leather sports seats with corduroy centres, lightweight carpets and a leather-trimmed half roll cage.
It has covered under 10,000 miles since new and is in fine order throughout. It will be sold fully serviced and backed by our own 12 month, in house, bumper-to-bumper warranty.
This car demands attention without being garish, commands respect without being flash and drives with a pace, drama and delicacy devoid of many of the modern 911s.
It is a 911 for someone who understands how 911s should drive, for someone who wants classic styling without classic compromises and for someone who wants to stand out from the crowd.
Being the first Retro and an original PS press car it is also an important part of our brand's history.
Earlier this year BBC Top Gear magazine rated this very car as a better buy as Porsche's new £140,000 911 Sport Classic. Praise doesn't come higher.
