1940 FORD ROD DELUXE COUPE

We have made some changes to our 1940 coupe that we think you will be pleased with since we first listed this car on our website. This is one of the most favored cars ever to be built in America. This Gorgeous 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe is currently in our museum. Originally the car was a 350 V8 with a powerglide transmission when we bought the car. We pulled the engine and transmission, and completely detailed the engine compartment, filling over 40 holes in the firewall and also repainted the firewall. We also rebuilt the front and rear motor mounts, changed the transmission cooler, and we have completely redone the wiring and converted the system to a one wire alternator. We also freshened the engine and changed the transmission from a powerglide to a turbo 350 with a shift kit. Then, we put everything new or rebuilt on the engine including, starter, alternator, Edelbrock carburetor, Accel Super Coil, rebuilt distributor, new aluminum valve covers, rebuilt the radiator. The drive train is now super sweet. We have also added a new sound system to make this 40 a real cruiser. The body is super straight and the car had very minor rust, truly a good car when we started working on it. It now has a beautiful Metallic (Prowler Purple) paint job, which is a stunning dark grape color. Has new exhaust, new brakes (not disc), new running board covers, rechromed bumpers, new headlight rims, and lots more! The front axle is stock. A new Chassis Engineering rear suspension has just been installed. Along with this new suspension system we changed the 3rd membr and upped the gear ratio to a 2:73 for better highway crusing. The rear end is Ford pickup. The interior has been completely redone in gorgeous burgundy velour, using the stock 40 Ford seat, and new carpets including the trunk. A tilt wheel and classic custom aluminum gauge panel add to the tasteful custom interior. The wheels and tires are brand new. This very sharp looking and driving car. We might take a trade.
