1965 Dodge Coronet 500 2-door hardtop with a 413 Max Wedge dual 4-barrel engine, 4-speed manual transmission, disc brakes, and in stunning correct Ruby Red with a black bucket seat interior. Totally restored southern car from Birmingham, Alabama with a total of 43,030 miles and less than 100 miles on the restoration. Originally a 383 car; the 413 is a date code correct 1964 block with original Max Wedge heads, original Max Wedge cross-ram intake manifold, correct Carter AFB dual carbs, original Max Wedge large bore upswept exhaust manifolds. Correct dual pancake aircleaner assemblies and a Mopar electronic ignition along with roller rockers, 9.5:1 pistons, and a hot street Mopar PurpleShaft cam. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep aggressive exhaust note from the dual FlowMasters. Runs perfectly on premium pump and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls hard through the rev range and runs like a dual-quad Max Wedge should with lots of torque and a super strong midrange. The factory 4-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and the 3.55 positraction rearend provides a nice balance of acceleration and relaxed cruising. Power steering and front disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder for safe easy maneuvering. Very nice driving car.

Completely restored bucket seat interior with recovered and re-padded seats front & rear, a new carpet kit, new interior door panels, and a new headliner. The factory center console is excellent and has a built-in Sun 8000 RPM tachometer just forward of the Hurst dogleg shifter. Excellent factory Mopar 'wood' steering wheel with no cracks. Excellent dash with no marks and no modifications. The original AM radio is in place. Everything works correctly (speedometer, gas gauge, ammeter, horn, turn signals, wipers, heater, blower motor) except the factory radio. Very nice interior.

Excellent body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and from down south (Alabama), no rust damage. I cannot find any body repairs or filler and all body lines & body panels are factory perfect. Excellent paint in correct PP1-code Ruby Red done with modern acrylic urethane base/clear and then sanded & buffed to a smooth glossy luster. The front & rear bumpers were rechromed along with the tail light bezels, door handles, and side mirror. New tail panel chrome trim (cost $2600) was installed between the tail lights and all stainless and brightwork was professionally polished. Excellent front grille. Excellent window whiskers, weatherstripping, and trunk seal. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. The trunk contains the spare tire, jack assembly, and heavy rubber mat. Brand new 15" chrome Magnum 500 wheels are fitted with P235-60-15 raised-white-letter BFGoodrich T/A Radials. Just professionally detailed & polished, and ready for cruises and shows. Very nice car.
