1962 Jaguar

This 1962 Jaguar 3.8 Mk II finished in Classic metallic Silver was completely restored and upgraded in Sweden by a marque expert to a high specification more compatible with 21st century driving conditions. It was built to the specification of a discerning British architect and the result is a fabulous motor car that retains its classic lines combined with trouble free fast motoring.
During the restoration the car was taken back to a bare shell and any corrosion was correctly eradicated prior to being painted in red oxide and then etch primed. The doors, bonnet and boot lid were then trial fitted to achieve correct gaps prior to the finishing paint coats being applied. The car is finished in traditional metallic Silver complimented by a light tan hide interior with tan carpets and high gloss finish Walnut dashboard and door cappings. The extremely comfortable modern Jaguar seating has fully has full electrical adjustment and a Nardi steering wheel is fitted on an adjustable steering column. The in-car entertainment system is an Alpine system with up to date communication facilities.
The car has been built in the style of the period John Coombes cars with louvered bonnet for improved engine cooling and narrower rear spats that improve the aesthetic appearance of the car. It sits on wider 15” cross lattice spoked competition chrome wire wheels and is shod with B F Goodrich radial speed rated tyres providing exceptional road holding.
It is fitted with uprated Coopercraft brake callipers and power assisted steering and has slightly stiffer springs and shock absorbers which greatly improve the feel of the car at speed.
The 3.8 engine has been completely rebuilt and the transmission has been upgraded to a modern Jaguar 5 speed manual gearbox that works much better than the original overdrive box. A thermostatically controlled Kenlowe fan is installed for improved engine cooling and the carburettors are fitted with pancake air filters.
Despite this restoration being completed in 2008, this car still remains in beautiful unmarked condition
