1973 Ford Mustang

Classic, Cool, Nicely Optioned, Rare Cold Air Induction, Ready for Summer Cruising!
For all of you Mustang & Convertible fans... Here is a Classic Mustang Convertible that is Affordable and Road Ready! This all Original, Matching Numbers Survivor is one Sweet Ride!
This large, smooth car has plenty of power and has plenty of options.
This beauty is neither mild nor wild, but she is just right.
Her optional 351 Cleveland is mated to the optional Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed Automatic Transmission.
Her 351 cu.in. Cleveland (5.8 L) 2 barrel engine was the largest and second most powerful engine available for this baby.
1973 marks the end of the classic Muscle Mustang with the Last of the Large Engines, and the Last Year for the classic Mustang convertibles.
The Mustang was the Only convertible Ford offered in '73 and unfortunately, Convertible Mustangs didn't return for 10 years.
Her road-hugging style is appealing and those who consider the '73 Mustang will find that they can get into this bona fide classic pony car for surprisingly little money.
Exterior:
She has a long, broad hood, truncated rear and thick-waisted styling which blended classic Mustang elements with Italian GT cues.
This soft-top has the most usable rear seat room for the first 4 generations of mustangs.
Her correct Medium Copper Metallic repaint was done several years ago and she still looks great. Her chromes shows well and is still bright.
Her color matched, urethane front bumper was in accordance with the 1973 NHTSA standards.
Her front grille has "Egg crate" holes, vertical front sportlamps which are actually turn signals, and a large square chrome headlight bezel.
Rear body panel between the chrome tail lights is grained black applique with bright trim.
Interior:
This beauty was nicely optioned from the factory.
In this Convertible with her "SelectAire" Air Conditioning and the Extra Cooling Package so you can look and feel cool while cruising with the top up or down.
Her Power Top with matching boot has easy fastening latches and is a breeze to operate.
She came with deluxe trim; left and right hand black instrument panel appliques, and molded door trim panels with integral pull handles/arm rests.
Her Twin-cove dashboard design with deeply tunneled instruments and standard floor shift mini console with prominent center stack gives a sporty look to her interior.
Her interior also features high-back seats recovered in durable white knitted vinyl, with updated black carpeting on the floor and lower door panels and color matching black Mustang floor mats.
Her upgraded stereo system is an Audiovox AM/FM tape deck with a single speaker in the dash and two Pioneer rear speakers.
Mechanical:
Her Original Optional 351 cu.in. (5.8L) Cleveland, 177 hp V8 has Hydraulic Valve Lifters and a two barrel Autolite 2100 Carburetor with Automatic choke.
She runs well and sounds great with her upgraded dual exhaust.
Her optional Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed Automatic Transmission has been rebuilt and shifts out smoothly.
She also comes with the Full time Cold Air Induction System which routes cold air via a 2 piece plastic duct under the battery tray to the air cleaner snorkel.
This system was used on the H.O. 351 engines and the H.O. cars were only produced in Dearborn, MI.
This baby was born in Dearborn and it is unknown as to why she received the Cold Air Induction.
Feel confident and in control driving in town or on those curvy country roads with her Power Steering, Power Front disc brakes, and Independent front suspension consisting of angle-poised ball joints, coil springs, tube shocks and a link-type anti-roll bar.
Condition: This well cared for drop top pony has overall good performance, suspension and handling. She runs and drives well and sounds great with her upgraded dual exhaust. Her correct Medium Copper Metallic repaint was done several years ago, and although she still Looks Great, she is not without imperfections. See pictures of tiny bubbles near top corners of the deck lid. A typical, common accurance for these cars is the trunk mat tends to hold moisture underneath therefore causing a small amount of surface rust hidden under the mat, which you may or may not care to do anything about. She has solid floor pans and all original sheet metal. The convertible top is in good condition as well as the parade boot top cover. The interior is very nice, with little signs of wear. This sweet ride is sold as is and mileage exempt.
