1971 LOTUS SEVEN S4 GT 
Finished in Lotus deep yellow with black trim. This car is well known and is listed on the Lotus register and is also well known to Lotus Cars. A letter from the archive department of Lotus Cars confirms that the car has all numbers matching, is still in its original yellow paint and was factory built and sold in September 1971. The car was purchased brand new by the first owner Mr Bradley in 1971 who sold it in 1998 to Mr Davies who subsequently sold the Lotus to its current owner, Mr Smith in 1999. The car has remained in Mr Smiths ownership since 1999. Mr Smith was a member of the Lotus Club and register (m/n 4799). The car was restored under his ownership and during the body off restoration the engine was removed and rebuilt by Burton to fast road and race spec which included the upgrade to 1763 as opposed to the original 1500cc engine rating. The engine now gives out a bhp of just under 110. The engine was also fitted with road rally super sport hi-lift Cam, fast road AE Heppolite Aqualite forged competition pistons, a Bosch rotor arm and a special sports silencer system from Ashley competition. The brakes and the suspension etc were also upgraded at this time and a special anti-roll bar was fitted. This vehicle has a very low mileage of 40,000 miles which is confirmed by the previous MoT certificates (in the history folder).
