1963 FORD THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE - LIKE NEW - Ford only made 5,913 T-Bird Convertibles back in 1963 and this is one of the nicest ones you'll ever see! This Bird has recently had a complete "body on" restoration performed by a certified Thunderbird concours judge. Everything is as it's supposed to be. . ...all the right clamps, hoses, belts, hardware. . ..etc. . .The undercarriage is just as nice as the exterior! It has a beautiful and rare color combination of Medium Blue Metallic (E Code) with the white vinyl convertible top. Both the paint and top are absolutely beautiful.
The numbers matching Z code, 390 cu. in, 300 hp engine was professionally rebuilt to factory specs. The heads were fit with all new guides and seals to accept today's unleaded fuel. The transmission and rear end were completed removed, inspected and serviced with new parts if needed. Mechanically, this car is like new. Brakes, brake lines, brake booster, fuel pump, fuel lines, gas tank, sending unit, starter, generator, front & rear suspension, radiator, water pump, power steering pump, exhaust, tires....it's all new. Even the power convertible top mechanism has been completely gone through serviced.
The original body panels are straight and rust free. The paint, glass, chrome and trim are all like new. The base coat clear coat paint has great clarity and shine. The interior is all new except for the door panels. The arm rests on the door panels are the only place you'll see any imperfections (see pictures) in this interior. The instrument panel has been cleaned and all gauges and lights work as they should. . ...even the clock! The gauge lenses are like new with exceptional clarity. As mentioned above, the undercarriage is in like new condition.
This T-Bird came with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Manual Seats and of course the Tilt-Away Steering column. It runs and drives like new with no issues! All heater controls, wipers and horn all work as they should.
