Brian Angliss, owner of Autokraft, one of the world’s foremost Cobra restoration shops in England, was able to purchase the entre original AC company in the Brooklands Industrial Park, also in England. Using the original AC Cobra dies, Autokraft continued the construction of original aluminum bodies and, in a joint venture with Ford Motor Company to supply Ford engines and accessories, continued production of the fabulous and fast AC Cobras. Concurrently, Don Panoz, multi-billionaire founder of Milan Pharmaceuticals, was funding a business started by his son, Dan Panoz--Panoz Motorsports. Dan was diving wholeheartedly into the world of racecars and formed Panoz Motorsports in Hoschton, Georgia, soon bringing Mario Andretti on board and going on to successfully compete at Le Mans. Autokraft built just 480 of these fabulous cars and this car, finished in a gorgeous red with black leather was purchased new by Dan Panoz who flew the car from AC in England to his home, Chateau Elan in Georgia.
