History

This MK2 version of the ever popular Austin/Morris 1100 range has spent many years just gently pottering round the lanes here in Jersey. The mileage shows 38663 although we cannot guarantee this it is certainly believable judging by the way it drives.

Overall comments

For those of us who grew up during the 60s and 70s you would remember these cars as they were very popular however quite a rare sight nowadays. A very usable little classic that could be used as it is or for further light restoration if wished.

Body

Finished in Pillar-box red.Chrome work and bumpers are pretty good.In usable condition as it is or for further light restoration if required.

Interior

Very original in period black vinyl - seats generally good but not perfect. Good carpets and excellent headlining.

Mechanical

Makes the right noises - a good sturdy little 'A' series 1098 transverse engine with a 4 speed gearbox which drives well.
