1965 Porsche

This '65 C was owned by local Porsche enthusiast from the early 1970's until 2002. It was used as his autocross car and daily driver throughout the 1970's. It was cleaned up and converted into a show car in the 1980's taking several first places in local PCA and SCCA shows. It retains the custom short gears and refinished 4.5" '67 911 S Fuchs from it's racing days. The suspension has also been refreshed with new Bilstein Sport shocks. The front sway bar had been upgraded with a stiffer 19mm bar. The rear suspension has been upgraded with rear B torsion bars and trailing arms. The front runs 1.5 degrees of negatove caber w/ 6.5 degrees of castor.

The current Lukes & Shorman 1720 motor produces approx. 125 hp to the wheels and would rival the acceleration of an early 911. The entire rotating assembly was balanced and lightened, rods were re-sized and crank magnafluxed, the camshaft is a custom F16 grind from Crower, Isky lifters operate the valves, which are controlled by Corvette valve springs.

The transmission features shorter gearing: C-A-E-3C and features a ZF limited slip differential.  The owner recently completed a full interior makeover at a cost of nearly $10K, as well as, converting the car from a 6 volt to a 12 volt system with complete modern wiring for dependability.
