1992 Ferrari

The proposed car is a prestigious Ferrari 348 TS Challenge 1992, one of only two "pre-series" made (VIN NR. 93153).

In 1992 the pilot A. Marasco alias "john wayne" prepared the car in a "race" version (not challenge), to participate in the GT circuit with the Nr. 9 and various sponsors including AutoCapital and Sa.Mo.Car. , geting a Ferrari GTO homologated, in the race again after 20 years of absence in this category. From this event, starring this car, started the famous Ferrari Challenge series.

This 348 was the true promoter of the series and Ferrari itself was inspired by this first "race set-up" (first prototype of a roll-bar, seats, seat belts, headlights cover etc.) to realize later the "official challenge" kit, supplied by Ferrari same to be able to participate in further competitions.

In 1993 the car was set up with the official challenge kit and participated in the 348 Challenge circuit with the Nr. 12, followed and sponsored by the dealer Sa.Mo.Car.
