1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This is a beautiful example well maintained the color f Coral Sand. This D code Bird has the original numbers matching, 312 cu. in., 245 hp V8 engine mated to a Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. The VIN tag reads: D7FH118146. The current owner is the third owner of the vehicle. It has had a complete body-on professional restoration 17 years ago and it still looks like just rolled off the showroom floor. It spent most of it's life in Florida and came to Indiana in 1999. The body color underneath on the undercarriage is still the original paint! This car was totally rust free when it was restored. The odometer shows 4,289 miles. It has 104,289 total miles on the chassis. The odometer was never rolled back to zero after the restoration was completed. The complete drivetrain was rebuilt during the restoration and has approximately 15,000 miles on it. All suspension components were replaced with new NOS parts or OEM equivalent. Everything works on this car except the clock. It runs and drives out like new. The radial wide whites are only two years old! The spare tire is still the original spare tire!! The owner did replace the original Town and Country radio (which he still has) with an am/fm cassette. All chrome and stainless has been either rechromed or repolished. The glass is beautiful with no cracks or lamination issues. The original T-Pot 4bbl carburator (which he still has) was replaced with a Holley 600 cfm carb for better performance and reliability. The original radiator was recored. The paint done in acrylic enamel 17 years ago and it still looks new! The colonial white hardtop and stand is in excellent condition. The interior and door panels are in excellent condition as well.
