1979 Chevrolet, Corvette 14,900.00 USD
Description

1979 Chevrolet Corvette! It is an original un-restored Survivor with 74,000 actual miles! The miles are certified on the title. I am the 3rd owner of this car! Engine numbers match, and is very nice original under hood and underneath. Original black leather interior is excellent with no rips or tears. Even has original Corvette accessory floor mats from the factory! Like any older car, there are some minor paint flaws, but finish is glossy and even, not faded or "washed out" looking like many older cars (Corvettes especially) get. Car gets a lot of compliments and attention.
What makes this car so unusual is how the original owner ordered it! By the late 1970's Corvettes had deviated from their sports car roots to largely become "disco-machines", loaded up with all the creature comforts of a Cadillac. Base engines were "ho-hum", and suspensions had gotten soft.
This original owner was a true sports car enthusiast and ordered his Corvette that way! He specified the powerful L-82 high performance 350 V8 with 225 NET horsepower, close ratio 4 speed, and Gymkhana sport and handling suspension package. Also specified were polished aluminum wheels, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and AM/FM/ 8 track. Then, he proceeded to delete all the "creature comforts". NO A/C, power windows, power locks, or cruise control etc. I have the window sticker which shows all this. Very few Corvettes were ordered this way. In fact, it has been tentatively determined with the information that could be found, that this was possibly the only 1979 Corvette ordered this exact way!
This Corvette is a blast to drive! Runs, drives, and handles great! Engine and transmission are strong and smooth. No issues I am aware of. Everything works on the car except the electric clock, which probably quit when car was a couple months old! I recently drove on a 250 mile trip with no issues. Would not be afraid to drive it anywhere! Car is clean and dry underneath. Undercarriage is also clean, not rusty.

We strongly advise using a Government registered escrow service for any transaction with an unknown party.
Escrow is the safest way to guarantee both sale and purchase protection.
The buyer's money is held securely until their goods or services are properly delivered, and the seller has full payment guaranteed if they fulfill their promise.
Do not use an escrow service if it is not Government registered - as it will almost certainly be fraudulent.

Please ensure it is clear who is responsible for transport damage.
We recommend UK Government registered www.transpact.com – only 3,49 euro to be fully secured.
